DOC.02.3 / PROJECTS & BLOCK TIME RUN YOUR SYSTEMS / SYS.RUN FROM $100 / HR

Projects & block time.

The bigger jobs and the one-off work: migrations, network buildouts, a whole new office. Bank hours at a better rate and draw them down whenever you need them. They never expire, and we quote the scope before we start.

A knolled flat-lay of a network buildout kit on dark slate: a cable reel, crimpers, a cable tester, coiled blue and orange patch cables, parts bags, and rolled rack blueprints.

What it is / in plain English

For the work that sits outside a monthly plan.

Some work is a project: moving email to a new platform, wiring a new suite, standing up a server, rolling out laptops for a growing team. It has a start, a finish, and a number, and we agree on all three before anyone touches a cable.

Block time is for everything in between. You pre-pay a bank of hours at a lower rate and draw them down as things come up, on your schedule. The hours never expire, so you can use them at your own pace.

Finding out what something will cost is always free. Ask, and you get a straight number.

What we do / the concrete list

The work, scoped and named.

A migration is moving your technology from one place to another: email to a new system, files to a new server, or a whole office to a new setup. We plan it out, do the heavy lifting after hours where we can, and keep a way to undo it, so your team rarely loses a working day.

Your network is the cabling, switches, firewall, and Wi-Fi that connect everything and get you online. We design and install it so the connection is solid everywhere you work, not just strong at the front desk and useless in the back office or the warehouse.

Opening or moving to a new space, we take it from an empty suite to a working office: internet, phones, computers, printers, and the network that ties them together. You walk in on day one ready to do business instead of waiting on installers.

When you need new computers or equipment, we pick the right gear, order it, set it up, and hand it over ready to use. Your team gets machines that already have the right software and settings, instead of spending their first day configuring them.

Block time is a bank of support hours you pay for up front at a better rate and use whenever you need them. The hours never expire, so it is a simple way to keep expert help on tap without a monthly contract. Not sure how many hours you would actually use? That is an easy thing to size up together.

A fixed scope and a real number, every time. Anything outside the estimate gets quoted before we do it.

How we deliver it / why it is different

The number you saw at the start.

The worst part of hiring IT for a project is the mystery: the vague quote, the creeping hours, the bill that lands bigger than the conversation.

We scope the work up front and tell you what it will cost. If we hit something unexpected mid-project, we stop and talk before the meter runs, not after. Every number on the final invoice is one you approved.

And because the same local team does your day-to-day support, whoever runs your project already understands your environment. The migration is planned by people who will still be answering your phone next year.

Who it is for / and what it costs

For the move, the buildout, the big change.

Businesses opening a second location, leaving a provider that let them down, or finally replacing the server everyone is nervous about. Pay hourly, or bank block time at a better effective rate.
